LOTD: Xteener's Barbie Purple Smokey Eyes

I love this look! If you don't know Xteener from Youtube already, you should definitely watch her vids. She is very talented! I love all her makeup videos and she is a whiz at blending eyeshadows. I love her hair too- super shiny!

Here is a recent video and she calls it the Barbie Purple Smokey Eyes. I tried it out today. Mine isn't as good as hers but I did learn that if you use a sticky base on your lids, you can make your eyeshadow colour really stand out. Or you can wet your brush too. I forgot to do that so my colours are a bit muted.

Mad For Illamasqua

I love this video tutorial by Illamasqua. It's a different take on the smokey eye look and it looks so "Twilight"! I am excited just looking at it- although I am sad to say my fiance has said "no!" to cosmetics purchases! I am forcing myself to not buy their products- it's very hard! I find myself browsing their website and then checking out but when it comes to paying with my trusty credit card...I just stop and think about how mad he will be when he finds it on the statement!

Anyway, hope you like it as much as I do! I would love to try it out- maybe for a dress up party or something! I probably will scare the my fiance half to death- which is fun! ahaha My sister is in New York at the moment- I might give her a call and tell her to go to Sephora and get me some! He won't be able to track this! *Evil Grin*

I want this liquid metal eyeshadow in "Solstice"! It is something I definitely don't have in my collection. Do you get makeup amnesia sometimes? I tend to buy the same colour blush- the light pink ones especially!

Anyway, here is my attempt at combining the two video tutorials above into one look! It's not as crazy so it's definitely wearable and I got a chance to try out some false eyelashes:) They make a huuuggeee difference. A bit uncomfortable though- the sufferings of makeup application for beauty! It's worth it:P

Pixiwoo's Linda Evangelista Look

This is a great makeup tutorial on how to recreate the Linda Evngelista look. And she's so gorgeous too! I like her techniques and it's real simple to do! I want to get the Pixi product with the roller concealer! It looks so cool! Pixi's Mineral Kit looks great too. If anyone knows where to get please let me know! The tutorial is split into two parts so its quite long but worth watching :)

Lady Gaga's Bow Hair Look

Thought I'd share this video with you guys. It's really not my thing- I don't think I will be able to pull it off without my fiance laughing at me. I'd probably laugh myself! ahha This hair guru on youtube has the most beautiful hair. She makes this look simple but I tried it myself and all my layers stuck out and wasn't smooth looking like hers! Anyway have fun with this:) btw, she doesn't speak english but I think its quite self explanatary.

Who is this girl?

She is one of my favourite makeup gurus to watch on Youtube! You'll get used to her weird expressions and the fact that she doesn't speak a word at all. But I still think she is so talented and funny to watch:) Manfilmwoman creates the most "out there" makeup and hair tutorials and always does a little posing and dancing for us at the end of each tutorial. It's something you have to watch! She can do any look under the sun and even did a tutorial on how to look like a man with a moustache- not that I will be trying that look anytime soon! haha I recommend to all:)
