Hauls: Lipstick Cravings

I blame it on work- there is no time to go shopping nowadays. So naturally, I go crazy when I did find the time this week. I thought I lost all interest in makeup these few months. Boy was I wrong!

I also blame it on this video from one of my fave youtube makeup gurus- its an old one and she hasn't been making any new ones lately which is pretty sad......anyway to cheer myself up I thought I would buy the Lacvert lipstick in "Yuna Pink" and the lipgloss too in "Lovely Yuna". It looks like such a pretty colour! I had to have it!

In the meantime, while I wait for my purchases to come through the mail (its probably going to be two weeks!) and I am so impatient- so I went and bought the MAC Viva Glam -Lady Gaga Lipstick. Its a real pretty light blue pink. Surprisingly it is very tame kind of pink which is unlike Lady Gaga's adventurous makeup looks. Still- I love it!

While I was at the MAC Counter, I spotted the Spring Colour Forecast Collection. It's nothing special to me...but lately I have been wearing lots of golds and bronzes so I really like the Colour 4 eyeshadow palette. It's all I need for my daily makeup look.

Since I was on a roll, I bought my very first YSL Rouge Volupte Lipstick in no.1 (Nude Beige) and also the matching YSL Lipgloss. Oh, and I also had 6 empty Mac shadow pots and I exchanged them for a lippie in "Speed Dial".

Swatches: Top: Speed Dial and Bottom: YSL Rouge Volupte Nude Beige

The YSL Lipstick is very creamy- it literally just glides on! However- the colour does not suit me at all! Actually it makes me looks so washed out and tired. Maybe Nudes don't suit me- I need some colour! I guess I will have to buy another colour next time hehe:P Any suggestions???

Opening Party- Zensaki

Sorry been missing in blogging world for a long while....I have been sooo busy at work. Its just work and sleep and sometimes no sleep at all for the last few weeks! I miss my time to myself and shopping and watching movies- things I took for granted before.

Life has been quite exciting with the opening of the new restaurant and not to mention stressful! Here are some pics of our opening party- thanks to all for supporting us!:))))

Aargh! Loredo from "So you think you can dance" paid us a visit at our restaurant and everyone took photos with him- I didn't know who he was! I never watched the show! He came for our Fish Teriyaki & Katsu Don- and he came again the very next day and this time we got his autograph:) He says he loves the Teriyaki Fish- Yay!

Here is a vid of one of his dances with Talia...so talented:) He is in town doing the "Chicago" show at Burswood - so sad...I got no time to see it!

A gift from a guy who likes to make fun of me!

At least someone likes the hat more than me ehhe

I bought some things from Marcs at Ennex- just the top and bag. I needed a clothes fix. My wardrobe is getting so boring.......

Had brekky at Greenhouse- yummy pancakes!

and yummy breakfast pizza.....

Congrats to Martina & Darren who just got a married!

Phew! What a month- time flies by soooo quickly! Looking forward to the long weekend.......

Nail Art is Not for me!

I tried Nail Art for the first time in Singapore. I was shopping all day and I wanted to just sit down somewhere and just get pampered. So I popped into the first nail spa I saw. The lady next to me was doing something glittery so I just told the girl to do the same thing- I was too exhausted to think! They gave me a drinks menu with lots of tea options- my favourite! I chose a green tea and put my head back to enjoy my pampering session.

The end result was kind of ewwww...ahhaah don't know what I was thinking. Maybe it's because my hands are gross- I have stubby hands and fingers and really bad nails to start off with! This nail art did not do my hands any favours!

I couldn't wait to peel off those diamond studs- they felt like pimples on my finger nails- so yuk!

Anyway, I have been trying this new new lipstick by Bloop. I bought it at the Singapore Airport. It's an invisible lipstick which reacts to heat on your lips and changes to a bright pink colour! How fun!

It is very very pink- just something fun to do! The formula is oily and feels like lipgloss. The smell is not my cup of tea either! Like expired lollies? But otherwise its a very good moisturising lipstick.

Hooray! I am Back Online!

I have been offline for the last month- anyone using iiNet? It's a pain for sure- especially when you are trying to plan a wedding overseas and they keep disconnecting you all because we moved houses!

Anyway onto more happier things! Thank you for all your comments on our wedding- it really made me so happy:) Here are some happy pics from our marriage ceremony (this was before the actual wedding day!) We did a simple ceremony at the registration office. I was so nervous!

Yay! It's official!

Don't know what I was doing with my dress! ahahha I think I was nervous and had nothing else to do. There was a lot of waiting around.

Straight after was my dreaded Hen's Night. My sister was organising it and she is a much more outgoing person than me and I was scared she was going to do the usual strippers, lots of drinking and the typical things we do at Hen's Nights!

So I was pleasantly surprised when she did exactly what I wanted- a tea dinner party with no strippers or anything of the sort! Phew! I didn't have to wear a veil or anything sparkly and humiliating- just a big bow headband! The closest thing to a phallic symbol was this cute strawberries dipped in chocolate! ahahha Thanks Tash! They were yummy!

More yummy finger foods courtesy of Natasha- so talented!

Here was a surprise for me- there were drawing stands outside....

What are we drawing??

A naked man! ahah I knew my sister will think of something raunchy- but ummm it was an older man. She requested for someone young and good looking but oh well....it was interesting!

Had a teacher showing us the ropes of Chalk drawing. I really enjoyed it!

Afterwards we had a dinner- my sister managed to get a good looking chef to cook for us! He should have been the one posing for us for our chalk drawing lesson! ahha

I love the decor- she made it a "Shelley in Wonderland theme" and I honestly think it rivalled my wedding day!

Chef making the desserts- looking great!

I can never get sick of chocolate dessserts and this one was really delicious.

Thank you to the girls who organised it! It was a real fun night and great catching up with everyone:)

I'm Finally Married!

I am back! It's been a very busy holiday + wedding:) I had a real blast with all my friends and family. Just want to say thank you to everyone that was there and those who couldn't make it- thank you for all your support and for being there in spirit:)

Just want to share a few photos- the first two are awesome photos taken by Louis Pang. He is quite the genius and I am loving what I see so far and can't wait to see the rest!

Good thing we had good weather that day. Previous two days was pouring down with rain!

Thanks to all for being there!

"Take Me"??? haha that was funny:)

.......and we lived happily after! (Hopefully!)
