Shu Uemura Turquoise Gel Liner

Finally, I got to try my Shu Uemura liner from the Primitribe collection! It's so bright! Can't see it in the photo below! But I used my bobbi brown gel liner on my lash line and then applied the blue liner just on top of that.

Here is a couple of closeups so you can see better!

Mascara went all funny during the day! This was a fun look to do:) Next time I will try it on my lower lashes! Eeek! Might look funny...we'll see!

My HG's & Some Handy Beauty Tips

Blog Widget by LinkWithin

Shu Uemura Cleansing Oil: Can't live without this product! Cleans ALL my makeup off in one go and doesn't dry out the skin.
Rodial Glam Balm: I bought this on ebay since its from the UK and was recommended by the Youtube Gurus "Pixiwoo" and I love it! I put this on at night, every night and my skin feels so much smoother. I wish it wasn't so expensive!

Bobbi Brown Gel Liner:I can't live without this! I use it everyday and I want all the colours! It stays on all day and doesnt smudge. Easy to apply and lasts a loonnngg time.

Pink Blush: I love all kinds of pink blush but I have to say the best is the Benefit Dandelion. Just the right amount of shimmer and the most gorgeous pink colour!

Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation: I think Laura Mercier makes the best foundations and powders. I got this one in Medium Ivory and it's just so creamy! I find other types of foundations cake around my nose and lips so I need something creamy that I can just simply rub back into my skin during the day instead of powdering on top which makes it more cakey!

Laura Mercier Undercover Pot Concealer: The most convenient concealer around! One side is a more thicker consistency for concealing blemishes and the other is a creamier concealer for under the eyes. Under the two concealers is a powder! Genius I say! It'e better than MAC studio fix concealer by far!

MAKEUP FOR EVER Smoky Lash: I know I have been raving about all types of mascaras lately! But at this moment I am loving this one:) It gives my lashes length and volume and looks so dramatic! I have to buy another!

Applying Mascara:

Open yor mouth slightly when you apply your mascara. You feel like a goldfish but it will stop you from blinking and getting your mascara everywhere except your lashes!

Make Blush Stay on Longer:

Layer your blush! I put on a cream blush, then top with translucent powder and then layer with a powder blush.

Define Eyes Naturally:
Some people don't like the obvious line around the eyes so I suggest applying your liner very close to your lash line. You can use powder/pencil. I use my gel liner but the most natural will be powder but not as long lasting. Apply by pushing the colour into the lashes and smudging it slightly.

Removing Clumps from Lashes:

Hate the clumps after you applied your mascara? Just get one of the diposable mascara wands or a clean mascara wand brush and place it above your lashes and rotate the wand to brush out the clumps. Keep a finger under you lashes to catch any residue. Reapply mascara until you get the effect you want. If it still clumps- you need to chuck it!

Hide the Pimple/Scar:
The best concealer for pimples, blemishes and scars that are difficult to cover is the Dermablend cream concealer. But if you can get something that is a creamy, thicker consistency it should do the trick. You only need a small amount and just build till you get the cover you want. Firstly, put the product on the back of your hand and use a concealer brush to dab a small amount and push it into the skin rather than rub it in. Then set with powder. Repeat this process if you need more coverage.

New Haircut

Here is the old hairstyle......
Now the new hairstyle.....
Not much difference huh? Except that I got a fringe this time and a new colour:)

I am liking the haircut and the new fringe! It's only a slight difference but they got it perfect! Even the hair colour which I have been asking for so many times and none of the salons can do it for me except for this one! I always ask for a reddish brown but they always give me bright red streaks and it makes me look too punky.

Where did I get this hair makeover?

HEAD STUDIO

My sister got her haircut there too and she looks mighty different with a blunt fringe and dark brown hair with a hint of burgundy. So I had to try too! The promo they have right now is $150 for Cut, Colour & Blowdry. The whole experience was 100% friendly and they just had the best service!

They gave me a choice of coffee or tea from their own lil kitchen and also a complimentary raspberry tea with head and face massage although it lasted like two minutes! Gave me loads of magazines to read while I wait for my colour. Such a pretty teapot too!

The girl that cut my hair- her name is Jessica, taught me how to use the GHD styler to create curls. I am such a noob at hair so it was kind of her to teach me! I bought a new GHD styler pack and it came with DVD tutorial, bag and a Benefit "Just in Case" mini makeup kit! Anyway, I tried doing my own curling at home using my new GHD on my friend- it's harder than it looks! Jessica made it look so easy! Luckily I got my DVD:)

My Love for Food

Welcome to my World of Food!

I don't particularly love cooking unless I feel like it but I will always be in the mood to eat! I must confess that I am a messy eater- it just taste better that way! :P My fiance is the opposite- he is the neat one in this relationship. Just like he likes to fold his tissues and I am a tissue scruncher. Love match made in heaven ya?

I love my potatoes- mashed, boiled, fried or baked! Yum!
I get the occasional urge to binge on fast food- my fave is KFC but only the ones in Malaysia. It's much more flavoursome and they give you bottles of sos chilli and ketchup- for free! I have to pay for sauces in Perth :(
Buffets- I try to avoid them at all costs! Bad for my waistline. I love the ones they have in Singapore- there is just so much variety! And so beautifully presented that I can't resst trying everything!

My favourite fish dish from Kuala Lumpur. It's covered in ginger- I loveeee ginger:)

Chocolate Desserts- if in doubt I always choose chocolate. Especially dark chocolate :)

Pastries- I like the small dainty pastries and mini crossaints and tarts! So cute and you can more since they are in smaller sizes. My favourite is the danish. Especially apricot danish!
Sashimi- I think it's the best to eat on a hot day with some soy & wasabi, pink ginger and some sushi and hot green tea. The best combination of flavours! I never get sick of this- even though I make these for a living!
The list goes on............

What is your favourite food?

What I am Reading: Desert Flower

A friend recommended this book for me to read and I am glad she did! (Thanks Minh!) I couldn't stop reading. It's about a African girl by the name of Waris who lived her childhood as a nomad but was forced to run away from her only home and the only world she knew and she ended up becoming a famous supermodel joining the likes of Naomi Campbell. It's an amazing story following her life (and it was not an easy life) and she's just an inspiration! It really made me think about how lucky I am and also how much I take a lot of things for granted.

It covers a big issue: female genital mutilation. It is something that is still being performed on women of Africa as part of their religion/culture. It's really sad how they do this to girls when they are so young and without any medical aid.

I highly recommend this book- it's a real eye opener!

Funny Face Contest- 5 Days To Go!
