Weekend Red Lips & Hairstyle

M.A.C Lady Danger

After my depotting frenzy, I managed to get a lot of empty MAC eyeshadow pots (Hurrah!) so I can go and swap 6 of them for a free lippie from MAC! I got myself a coral red lipstick M.A.C's Lady Danger and it's so vibrant! I tried it on straight away on the train back home and realised I still had my blue Shu Uemura gel liner on. My fiance said I looked like the Joker! haha!

So only wear red lipstick with very simple eye makeup- or you'll look like a clown:) Unless that's the look you want!
Here is Christina Aguilera with her signature red lipstick and blonde hair look. Classic but not boring!

How can I not mention Gwen? Queen of red lips!

I was looking at MAC's Rubywoo but I thought Lady Danger was more suited to my skin tone. Rubywoo is a gorgeous red lipstick too in a matte formula.

And the hairdo I tried out today is a copycat from a magazine. It's a hairdo straight from the runway by Carolina Herrera.

Here is a summarised steps on how to do the "Roll" from the mag:
Part your hair on the side and take the front section of the hair and twist it backwards into a thin roll, pinning your hair as you go. Repeat this on the other side of your head and then you tie your hair into a low pony or a bun. Doesn't have to be perfect!

Sorry you can't see my hair properly since my hair is so dark! But I did mine in a ponytail.

The "Suri" Hair & Professor Layton!

LOL! I love funny cat pics! This is so funny- it's a copycat of lil Suri Cruise's hair!

Awwww such a cutie pie!

Even her mum couldn't resist! I love her look here....not as cute though!
What the?!? Dunno what type of emo hair is this! ahhaha It's very strange...when did he start wearing makeup?

Ok, I know a lot of girls don't play games or even own a console but I have to write about this game. Sorry if this is so not beauty related:) But I am enjoying this game so much I have to blog it! Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box- it's the second game in the series and more to come YAY! If you own a DS and you love puzzles- this is the game for you:) It's even better than the first game. And it definitely beats Sudoko anyday! I say- this is a great beauty routine...helps me sleep and relax so that means less wrinkles.....except when I frown whilst conentrating and attempting to solve puzzles. ahha

My fiance laughs at me tapping away on my DS like a mad woman! I was trying to find coins hidden on the screen. It's my only way to get hints for the puzzles! If you played this game please let me know and leave a comment so I don't sound like a weirdo getting high on my DS :P

Night Night! Going back to my gaming now :)

New Haircut

Here is the old hairstyle......
Now the new hairstyle.....
Not much difference huh? Except that I got a fringe this time and a new colour:)

I am liking the haircut and the new fringe! It's only a slight difference but they got it perfect! Even the hair colour which I have been asking for so many times and none of the salons can do it for me except for this one! I always ask for a reddish brown but they always give me bright red streaks and it makes me look too punky.

Where did I get this hair makeover?

HEAD STUDIO

My sister got her haircut there too and she looks mighty different with a blunt fringe and dark brown hair with a hint of burgundy. So I had to try too! The promo they have right now is $150 for Cut, Colour & Blowdry. The whole experience was 100% friendly and they just had the best service!

They gave me a choice of coffee or tea from their own lil kitchen and also a complimentary raspberry tea with head and face massage although it lasted like two minutes! Gave me loads of magazines to read while I wait for my colour. Such a pretty teapot too!

The girl that cut my hair- her name is Jessica, taught me how to use the GHD styler to create curls. I am such a noob at hair so it was kind of her to teach me! I bought a new GHD styler pack and it came with DVD tutorial, bag and a Benefit "Just in Case" mini makeup kit! Anyway, I tried doing my own curling at home using my new GHD on my friend- it's harder than it looks! Jessica made it look so easy! Luckily I got my DVD:)

Lady Gaga's Bow Hair Look

Thought I'd share this video with you guys. It's really not my thing- I don't think I will be able to pull it off without my fiance laughing at me. I'd probably laugh myself! ahha This hair guru on youtube has the most beautiful hair. She makes this look simple but I tried it myself and all my layers stuck out and wasn't smooth looking like hers! Anyway have fun with this:) btw, she doesn't speak english but I think its quite self explanatary.

Hair Style of the Day

Pretty Curls

If you feel like having your hair down this is the style for you. You need GHD Styler or something similar to create waves that look natural. Apply some styling mousse to damp hair and grab hold of a section on your hair (medium-thick sections) and curl hair by holding the straightener close to the roots as possible and twist it at an almost 180 degree angle and slowly slide down to the ends. You should end up with nice, bouncy natural curls.
If you are naturally curly it's easy- just flip your hair forwards and blow dry using your hands. Put some hair style finishing creme to get rid of flyaways and your done!

The Preppy Beehive

This updo is great for bad hair days and you don't have much time to use a straightener or to curling tongs. To create this look, you need tonnes of volume so blow dry your hair roughly and backcomb your hair at the crown using a rounded bristle brush to build up height. Randomly pile up your hair and pin it to the crown. Slip on a headband and pull out some strands from the front to frame the face. Decorate with some strings you wish by tying it a couple of times around the headband.
