I Love SINGAPORE!

Let's just say that one day is not really enough time to cover everything in Singapore. All in all it was an experience that I wouldn't mind doing again in the future! There is heaps of shopping to do and lots of food to eat. I tried my best to shop fast and eat everything I see but there is just soooo much! Walking around was like a maze....I kept going in circles and getting lost in the shopping malls. I hate reading map too!

Yummy pastries! I love my danishes:)

J.CO Donuts! I love this one in particular!

I nearly fainted when I found Sephora by accident! I don't even know where it was- somewhere on Orchard Road? But I only had one hour before I had to go the airport! So I shopped like a mad woman and with my fiance watching me like a hawk! He was making sure I didn't buy anymore eyeshadows! hehe This is the second largest Sephora in the world...its pretty close to my kind of heaven :D I wish they had this in Perth! :(((((

We stayed at the beautiful Mandarin Oriental- service was above my expectations. The staff was extremely helpful and gave us lots of advice on where to go and eat etc. The cleaner even lined up all my makeup products in the bathroom (it was in a bundled up mess)! Now that is what I call service! I luurrveee the King size bed-I must get one...one day:)

Ramen! It was delicious....but I had to line up to get in which is something I'm not used to. I guess there are a lot of mouths to feed in Singapore....so many people! I feel like a country girl:)

Spending some quality time together at a Japanese Restaurant at Vivo City. Didn't have much time to check out this shopping mall. But I did manage to visit The Face Shop.

Here are someof the stuff I bought-mainly beauty products. There was no time to try on clothes or shoes (but I managed to buy two pairs!)
Yes, I was sad to leave so soon...but I will be back again in Xmas and this time I will know where to go :P

Thank you to JBreezy, Mercury Lady & Becks for your tag and awards:) I'll have to find the time to do it all!

A Weekend in Singapore

I haven't been to Singapore since I was 12! That's more than a decade ago- so I cannot wait to see what its like now. I hear it's a shopping haven and has lots of food everywhere! My two favourite things in the world:)

Thank you Summer for your shopping tips on where to go in Singapore. I basically have one full day to do it all...its gonna zip zip everywhere but I can't wait to see the shops! Compared to Perth Australia- Singapore is a shopper's dream!

I am bring my shopping shoes- its a new pair of Birkenstocks! I love the funky patterns and the heart:) So cute! It's perfect for walking and its convenient for trying on shoes in shops- just slip in and out! Time is of essence on this trip!

This trip to Singapore is meant to be for our anniversary celebration but I am taking full advantage of this trip to get some shop therapy I desperately need! hahha

My fiance has something planned as a surprise so not sure what to expect! So exciting:)

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Some "Funny Face" Contest Entries!

Thanks ladies for these super funny pics:) They all made my day! Keep them coming!

Picture Tag from twinsouls888

Thanks to twinsouls888 for this tag! It's fun:)

Here are the rules of the picture tag:

►Open your first photo folder
►Scroll down to the 10th photo.
►Post that photo and story on your blog.
►Tag five others (or more) friends to do the same.

This is not really the 10th photo in my folder - but its 11th...pretty close! This pic is more interesting than my 10th photo (a broken rice cooker! nothing special about that!)

Here is Kenny with his burnt finger. The story behind this? He was trying to make pancakes. So he thought he could take a shortcut and melt the butter with the sugar in the microwave before mixing it into the batter. Then he decided to test if it was melted- and dipped his finger into the hot mixture! Wah Lah....mega burnt finger that blew up to this size! Looks like E.T! LOL!

Anyway, he is super embarrassed about this incident (even though he is proudly showing it off in this pic) so I better not let him know about this tag!

I tag the following people!

  1. Chocolates- Who doesn't? My favourites...ok too many to mention but I love dark chocolates especially!
  2. Tigers- I feel very attached to tigers, I love them! They are so beautiful- I almost cry when I see them since there are so few of them left in the world.
  3. Rain- Some may think rain brings gloom & doom but I like to hear the rain on a hot summer's day. I find it really calming and it's the only sound I can listen to and fall asleep.
  4. Laughing- I love things that make me laugh. I need it to stay sane! I don't like people who are always negative or too serious all the time.
  5. Tea- I am a big tea drinker, I cannot go through a day without my daily cuppa! I drink green tea everyday.
  6. Books- I collect books, I like to read in bed or when I am home alone. My dream is to have a big room just FULL of books! My very own library!
  7. Dresses- I also collect pretty frocks! I love dresses- they are so easy to wear- no mixing and matching, just slip it on and your outfit is done!
  8. Dogs- I don't have one since I don't have the time to look after one- but I am a dog lover! If I do get one- I would get a Japanese Akita. Big but so beautiful!
  9. Edward Cullen- He's my edward! I don't care what everyone else says! He is MINE:P
  10. Kenny- My soulmate:) Can't imagine what life would be like without him....

Mascara Showdown: Found a New Fave!

Left to Right: Rimmel Glam Eyes & My New Favourite!

I love my Rimmel Glam Eyes- I bought three of them but since my mascara experiment that I started last week- I have found another mascara love. It's the pic to the right! It gives me really full and clump free lashes and I only need two coats to get va-va-voom eyes!

I tried many drugstore mascaras and I believe they do just as well (sometimes better) than the high end mascaras. I change mine every month or so because I hate clumpy, flaky mascaras. It's also for hygiene reasons- you wipe the stuff onto your eyelashes and then you pop it back into the tube so there is bound to be bacteria growth etc! Ewww!

Anyway here is a rundown of my tried & tested:

Maybelline Great Lash- bleh! I don't know why this is a must have? Its alright- but not fantastic. Its easy to remove but it smudges at the end of the day. There are way better products out there nowadays!
5/10

Maybelline XXL curling mascara- I don't really like mascaras that need an application of primer before you apply the mascara on. Its another step and I am lazy! This one was another ok mascara- nothing special.
6/10

Maybelline Colossal- Great product but it had a funny rose scent to it which I didn't like. If you don't mind the smell then this is a great mascara! It's better than Covergirl's Lash Blast:)
8/10

Loreal Telescopic- I bought this before and I never liked it enough. So when I saw people rave about it I thought I'll give it another go. It separates your lashes quite well and gives some length but NO volume. The wand is the same as Rimmel Glam Eyes which I prefer because it gives you length, separation AND volume.
7/10

Bourjois Clubbing Mascara- As soon I took the wand out of the tube it was yuk! Mascara product was clumping the the fibers on the wand. I had to wipe it with tissue before applying. It smudges and didn't really give length or volume compared to other mascaras.
4/10

Max Factor 2000 Calorie- This my new HG mascara:) I love the effect it gives! You can see in the pics that the Max Factor gives more oommpph! I love love love it! Highly recommended!

10/10

Here is video by misschievous and she goes through many other mascaras that I haven't tried as yet. So watch it for more reviews!

BB Creams

Left: Top-Missha Bottom- Skin Food

Right: Shiny Pearl Beblesh Balm

As you know, I love my Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream so I decided to try out some other ones. I bought the SkinFood and also the Shiny Pearl Water Drop BB Cream on ebay from Ruby Ruby Shop. They give you freebies all the time! This is where I get my Missha BB cream too. Missha BB Cream is very blendable and coverage is medium.

I have only tried these three types so it's not a great comparison but here is my views on it anyway:

Skin Food Gingko Green BB Cream- This is very similar to Missha BB Cream.. The texture is the same but the colour is better on me than missha's. However, I have to put more product on to get enough cover so I think being a small bottle, I will use it up pretty quick!

Shiny Pearl Water Drop Beblesh Balm- Did not like this one at all! It's very watery and it seems to sink right into the skin and gave me no coverage whatsoever. Plus, it gives a glittery- not shimmery sheen to my face which I did not like. Good- if you want to look like a Fairy Godmother! Would not recommend.

Verdict: After trying these two compared to my beloved Missha BB Cream, I will still continue to use my Missha. Skin Food is great but its not going to beat Missha in terms of cost since I will end up using more product.

I would love to get my hands on L'egere BB Cream & Liole BB Cream. If you have tried any of these please let me know what you think!
