Wedding Ideas: Candies & Chocolates

Just going through some wedding planning this week and just thought I'll share some ideas!

Ideally, I would have opt for a dessert buffet for the reception dinner since I don't really fancy the normal chinese desserts they give for the banquets- red bean soup and mango pudding? *Yawn*

I asked the hotel wedding coordinator to give me some prices for a dessert buffet and she came back with a whopping price of $25 extra per head on top of the banquet price which is already $100 per head. Hmmmm....that doesn't sound like much but when you calculate for 500 people- that's a lot of money!

But I really want to incorporate something "Alice in Wonderland" into the reception so I thought of a Candy Bar instead! It's very Mad Hatter style and I love all the colours! So I skipped having the bombonieres and let the guests choose what they want to take home. I purchased some cute boxes that they can use to fill it up:)

Here are some pictures I found whilst browsing the net:

If I had a Charlie and the Chocolate Factory theme I would loooveee to have a Chocolate Buffet Table or Chocolate Bar! It's my kind of heaven! Maybe I will ask my sister to do it for my Hen's night :P

To have a candy bar instead of a dessert buffet is a great idea. The pictures are amazing.
